City of Wetumpka Holds Ribbon Cutting for New Fire Station

We are thrilled to announce that last week marked a monumental moment for Wetumpka as we celebrated the grand opening of the brand-new Wetumpka Fire Department Station 2!

This project was no small feat, and we owe immense gratitude to our incredible partners at Holley-Henley Builders, Inc. and Goodwyn Mills Cawood for their unwavering support and dedication throughout this journey. Together, alongside our outstanding team at the city and the brave members of the WFD, we’ve turned dreams into reality.

To commemorate this milestone in a uniquely fitting way, we swapped the traditional ribbon-cutting for a memorable Hose Cutting ceremony, symbolizing the official inauguration of Station 2. But that’s not all! We also honored the legacy of WFD’s own Randy Payton and Sam Turner with a heartfelt tree planting and dedication ceremony. Their commitment and service will forever be remembered within these walls and beneath the shade of these trees.

We couldn’t be prouder of this accomplishment, and we extend our deepest thanks to everyone who played a part in making this vision a triumphant reality. Together, we continue to build a safer, stronger, and more vibrant Wetumpka for all.
