A message from Elmore Public School employees to their Graduating SEHS Seniors

Seventeen employees that work for Elmore County Public Schools have children graduating from Stanhope Elmore High School for the 2023-2024 school year. They consist of many teachers, a counselor, a paraprofessional, two Directors, a Nurse, two Assistant Principals, a Principal, a School Resource Officer, an Instructional Coach, and a Title I Aide. This is the first time in many years there has been a high number of graduates that have a parent employed within the school district. Each parent of the graduate wrote a special message to their graduating senior below.

Shannon Hughes is a teacher at Wetumpka Elementary School.  Jimmy Hughes is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Jimmy, through everything you’ve been through, you have always been our ridiculous, intelligent, big-haired comedian. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see the man you will become! We love you!” Love, Adam, Mom, John and Jax

Daphne McClendon is a Counselor for Coosada Elementary School. Skylar McClendon is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Skylar, your strength and resilience have made me so proud of you. You have handled adversity, picked yourself up and tried again. Always remember your worth and how much you are loved! We are so proud of you!”

Temeyra McElrath is the Director of Special Education at the County Office. Lorin McElrath is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Lorin, we are so proud of the young woman you are becoming, wishing you nothing but God’s blessings in this next chapter of your life.” Love, Mom and Dad

Bridget Wilson is a School Nurse at SEHS. Samantha Wilson is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Samantha, I thank God for you and for all the blessings He has given you. These last 13 years have been a dress rehearsal for a life filled with amazing opportunities…this is just the beginning! We are so proud of you and love you more than you will ever know. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.” Ecc 3:11

Lamonica Gilder is a teacher at Coosada Elementary School. Corian Gilder is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Corian, “CG” we are beyond proud of you for your strength, personality, and courage in completing this chapter of your life. Always remember to do what is right no matter what and be a young man of integrity. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Amy Williams is an Assistant Principal at Coosada Elementary School. Loghann Williams is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Loghann, behind you are all of your memories. Before you are all of your dreams. Lieutenant Stephen Youngblood is a Millbrook Police Officer and a School Resource Officer. Jayden Ocmand is a SEHS graduate. “Jayden, there are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. Remember to just be the best at whatever you are doing. We are proud of you, and we love you!” Love Stephen and Mom!

Ayena Jackson is the Director of Middle School Education at the County Office. Aysia Jackson is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Aysia, it has been a profound pleasure to watch our favorite daughter paint such a beautiful journey through her high school years. Each stroke of your effort and dedication has created a masterpiece of memories and achievements that fill us with pride. As you prepare to turn the page to a new chapter, we eagerly look forward to being there for many more of your beautiful creations. Your future is as bright and promising as the canvases you have yet to fill.  Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Sharon Earl is the Assistant Principal at ARIS. Karley Earl is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Karley, I am so proud of you and all of your accomplishments! Always strive to do your best and I know you will succeed!” Love, Mom

Marcia Stephens is the Principal at ARIS. Olivia Stephens is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Olivia, I am so grateful that God blessed me with you. You have brought so much joy and love into my life, and I couldn’t be prouder of the incredible person you have grown into. I know that it has been by God’s grace that you have overcome challenges and obstacles, and I am inspired by your strength and resilience. As you continue on your journey, always remember to let God guide your steps and trust in His plan for you. He has great things in store for you, and I have no doubt that you will continue to shine bright and make a positive impact on the world around you. I am here to support you every step of the way, and I am so grateful to have you in my life.” Love, Mom

Kashundra Davis is a teacher at SEHS. A.J. Davis is a SEHS Senior graduate. “AJ, my sweet baby boy! Your dad and I are so very proud of you and all that you have accomplished thus far. We pray that God continues to bless you. Never forget that you are destined to be great and do great things. We will be right by your side every step of the way cheering you on. Love you, Son!”

Quonesha Jackson is a Paraprofessional at MMS. Contravious (CJ) Jackson is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Your life is your story, and the adventure ahead of you is the journey to fulfill your own purpose and potential. I’m so proud of all your accomplishments and I pray that God keeps you focused on the bigger picture and his will in your life be served. We love you so much and can’t wait to witness your greatness.”

Tara Baker is a teacher at ECTC. Graham Baker is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Congratulations on your high school graduation, Graham! This milestone is a steppingstone for more successes to come and I wish you all the best for the exciting journey ahead!” Love, Mom

Letitia Ruffin-Johnson is an Assistant Principal at MMS. Charles Johnson is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Charles (Tripp), the moment I laid eyes on you seventeen years ago, all I could do is say, “Isn’t he beautiful?” That seemed like yesterday. Now, your life is about to start. We are so proud of you. We are proud of the young man you are and the Godly man we pray you will be. My mom, your grandmother, before she passed, told me that she had a vision of you in a suit standing in front of people. This vision represents success. You will be a leader! We know that you will be successful in every aspect of your life if you keep God in your life and not be ashamed of Him. Aimee Glover is a teacher at MMS. Tate Glover is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Tate, Congratulations on this amazing achievement. Your character, humor, hard work and kindness have made our job easy as parents. We know you will be successful no matter what happens in your future. We love you TaterTot Numbers 6:24-26 – The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

Leslie Caylor is an Instructional Coach at SEHS. Alex Caylor is a SEHS Senior graduate. “Alex, it is such a blessing to see the wonderful young man that you’ve become. Your willingness to try new experiences and ability to rise up from life’s challenges inspires me and makes me so proud to be your mother.
