PAHS Pet of the Week is Fred; Adoption Event, Open House coming March 18

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SOCIETY
Fred is a 1-year-old male German Shepherd who has already been neutered.  He was to PAHS as a stray and his owner did not reclaim him.  Fred has the classic black and brown coat of a pure bred German Shepherd–he is handsome as can be!  He weighs 59 pounds so he is considered to be a large dog.  Fred is, quite simply, a great dog!  He is well behaved and calm.  Fred quickly and totally bonds with whoever is showing him some attention and kindness.  He appears to know how to “heel” and we feel like he may know other commands.  Fred is good with other dogs but he is a “people” dog and would be good with children too. He was very attached to the folks who were working with him while we were making his pictures.  Fred is well leash trained and loves to walk close to you while on the leash.  It is recommended he NOT be in a home with cats.

Adult dog adoption fees are $20; and adult cat adoption fees are $10. Puppies will be available for adoption for $75; and kittens’ adoption fees are $35.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
