Mac is a 4-and-1/2-year-old male Chihuahua/Pug mix who has already been neutered. He has a brown coat with white markings on his chest; and the cutest little ears. Mac weighs only 18 pounds so he is considered to be a small adult dog. Mac is a bit timid, shy, and not trusting until he gets to know you. He also does not like being picked up until he gets to know you. Mac would be fine in a home with other dogs and older children. Being a Chihuahua mix we would not recommend he be in a home with young children. Mac is leash trained and ready to take that walk to his new owner’s car. Please come meet this awesome small dog who is ready to start a new life with a new family.
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We are closed the last Thursday of the month for staff training. Adoptions are currently by appointment only.
