Willie Reeves, 53, was found guilty of murder by an Elmore County Jury this morning in the death of his wife in 2019.
Reeves was found guilty of shooting Andrea Reeves, 52 at the time of her death, after an altercation in 2019 when she accused him of having an affair.
The altercation occurred on May 26th during a house party at the Reeves’ home on Lucky Town Loop in Elmore County. Willie Reeves shot her in the head with a .223 rifle, AR-15. Reeves was quickly taken into custody by Elmore County Deputies.
Today Reeves stood before Circuit Judge Ben Fuller and 12 members of the jury as they found him guilty on one charge of murder in a trial that lasted two days.
Chief Assistant District Attorney CJ Robinson said, “I am proud of the hard work done by the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office and I appreciate the support and encouragement given to us by the family of the victim. They helped motivate us to tirelessly pursue justice for their loved one. We will be ready for sentencing. We will attempt to put Willie in prison for as long as we possibly can for this evil, cold-blooded act.”
We will have more information following sentencing that will be held on April 20.
