There is something special about the moon in an autumn sky. Painters, photographers and poets know it. Lovers swoon beneath it. There are too many songs to name that reflect on the moon.
On Oct. 16 Central Alabama Community College has a special treat at the Alexander City campus that is open to the public.
You are invited to the “International Observe the Moon Again” at the CACC Walking Track at 6 p.m. in Alexander City.
Telescopes will be available. You are invited to take photos of the moon through the telescope or with your cell phone. You can also bring your own telescope to view the moon and stars.
