A jury trial is set to begin this morning in Elmore County concerning an attempted murder in Millbrook that was reported April 17, 2020.
In that case Angelo D. Myles, then 35, of Millbrook was arrested after his neighbor was shot multiple times on Oak Tree Road.
The victim, identified as Ryan Fales, then 43, was treated at the scene by Millbrook Fire Department medics and transferred to a Montgomery hospital in critical condition. Fales survived, but has continued to require multiple surgeries due to his reported extensive injuries.
The suspect Myles was eventually released on bond in the matter, but both men still live near each other. That has caused multiple reports to the Millbrook Police Department as both the suspect and alleged victim have accused each other of harassment.
The trial will be heard before Judge Bill Lewis and was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. this morning. We do have a reporter that will be covering the trial.
