Ashley Kenney, 24, of Alexander City is in police custody at this time, and facing murder charges. He was located in Tallapoosa County a short time ago.
A manhunt yesterday involved the help of deputies from Elmore County. We are awaiting more details and will share immediately. CrimeStoppers Executive Director Tony Garrett said he was just notified of the arrest, and will be releasing more information soon.
Kenney is the prime suspect in a double murder on Oak Hill Drive Monday. The victims have been identified as Stephanie Nicole Motes, 40, and her son Cody Lane Motes, 18, both of Alex City.
